The NATO Lessons Learned Process is based on the collection and analysis of observations throughout all NATO structures and activities.
Lacking one standardised tool for this collection and analysis phase means using a number of different solutions and it leads to a complicated and cumbersome process, loss of information, visibility and time.

Product Highlights:
The Observation, Collection and Analysis Tool, or “OCAT” allows Observations to be easily recorded by Staff Officers in the field or during a planned exercise within open and/or restricted networks, being deployed locally, it is designed to be used in any environment.
Currently, OCAT is a functional MVP and a scalable solution. It can be succesfully used for Collecting Observations in any network environment and supports with its features data analysis, eliminating the manual and labourious work of Analysts working with Observations.

- User-friendly interface, fast completion of a templated Observation form, with pre-filled data and search function for fields.
- Overview table of all data that allows sorting, filtering and a smart search for all the Observations submitted.
- Comparative view and fast copy and paste function for creating one new Observation based on multiple ones.
- OCAT MVP fully supports the export and transfer of data, that can be exported both as .pdf and .json file formats.
- OCAT also assists in the function of analysing Observations for Lessons Learned Staff Officers and serves to support the current function of the NATO Lessons Learned Portal, increasing in the amount and quality of Lessons submitted.
